Upon
hiring a teacher due to a lack of appropriately certified
applicants during the 2007-2008 school year, the district
will complete the following:
1. Hire
an applicant in the field with certification closest to that
needed, in this case, English language arts/reading 4-8.
2.
Ensure that the applicant has taken the appropriate TExES/PPR
tests for current certification
3.
Assist the applicant in preparations for taking the
appropriate 8-12 TExES test.
4.
Provide tutorials through an appropriately certified mentor.
5.
Nonrenew the contract for 2008-09 should applicant fail to
pass the appropriate exam before July 31, 08. |
