2007-2008 School Nurse

The nurse will be on the Edwards Campus every  Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

MEDICATION

     If you want the school to give your child medicine, please send a note. 
 We would like to see the name of the medicine, the dosage, and the time it needs to be given.  
We will honor that note for that day only.  

Please look for the official PERMISSION FOR MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION form to come home.
 Add information as needed, sign it and return it to school.

  DO NOT SEND LOOSE PILLS TO SCHOOL.  

We must have all medicine sent in their original container.
    The school district does have a MEDICATION POLICY that provides the rules we follow when giving medicine.

STUDENT REFERRAL FOR HEALTH CARE

    When your child is sent to the office or school nurse for injury or illness, a yellow form will be sent home. 
 We hope this helps you stay informed about the health needs of your child while they are at school.

     School nurses do a variety of checks to assess the students health.  
You may not be aware of these checks because everything is fine.  
Notices do go home if there is a concern

RETURN TO SCHOOL

Please send a note to school with your child if he/she has been absent.
Remember, per district policy, your child must be fever-free for 24 hours before returning to school.
