Loboes Drop District Opener to Presidio

Monahans hosted Presidio for the first district game of the season on Friday.  Despite good pitching and eight strikeouts from Lobo Steven Valles, Monahans ended up on the losing end of the one-run game.

Presidio brought in the first run of the game and the only run of the first inning.  By the end of the the sixth, it was still a one-run game with 4-3 score.

The Blue Devils brought in one run at the top of the seventh, and the Loboes brought in one in the bottom, making the final score 5-4.

The only double of the game was by Lobo Paul Dominguez.

Monahans will have another opportunity to beat Presidio on April 2, but the next game for the team is in Fort Stockton on Tuesday night at 7 pm.
