Loboes Drop Another to
Presidio

The Varsity Baseball team went to Presidio Monday night to
face the Blue Devils in district competition. The Loboes came home with
their second loss to Presidio this season giving them a 2-2 district record.
The game remained tight in the first three innings, and the score was tied at one run going into the fourth. That was when Presidio began to pull away to take the lead. Monahans scored one run in each of the fourth and fifth innings, while Presidio had a combined nine runs. Although Monahans pulled in three runs in the sixth, Presidio also brought in three runners and the win. The final score was Monahans 6, Presidio 13.
First baseman Blake Hughes, who doubled in the game, was three-for-four with three RBI's and catcher Tico Olivas, who also doubled, was two-four-three. Also doubling for Monahans was Sean Merrick.
Monahans now has an overall record of 11-9.
The Loboes will play Fort Stockton Thursday night at 7 pm in Monahans.
