Loboes Beat Bucks

The Loboes defeated the Alpine Bucks in  a Tuesday night baseball game at Lobo field.

The teams were tied at 1 after the second inning, but Monahans brought in three runs in the third to get ahead 4-2.

Alpine caught a break in the fifth inning when a fly ball was dripped in the outfield, allowing the bucks to bring in two runs.

A run in each of the fourth and fifth innings kept the Green ahead, and the game ended 6-4 in favor of Monahans.

Kalep Warden was the winning pitcher on Tuesday, and the game was aided by doubles from Julian Hernandez and Anthony Armendariz.

The Loboes are busy with the Sandhills Baseball Tournament through Saturday.
