The Lobo baseball team was in Seminole over the
weekend. The Indians edged Monahans by one run, giving the Loboes a 4-5 loss.
"The kids played pretty well for the most part," said Coach Robert Dixon. "Chase Williams and Julian Hernandez both pitched well."
"We gave ourselves an opportunity to tie or win the game in the late innings, but hit into some tough luck. We were hitting the ball really hard but right at people.
"I have been really pleased with the way the kids have been playing. We have done a good job of putting the ball in play, played pretty good defense and the pitchers have thrown strikes. If we can continue to do this, I think that we will be fine," said Dixon.
On Tuesday, the team will play their first official home game when they host the Alpine Fightin' Bucks. The varsity game is scheduled for 7 pm.
