Cross Country Places Well At Brownfield

New Cross Country Coach Treasure Thaggard entered her team in the Brownfield Jamboree Meet, and the Loboes competed extremely well for their first outing of the season.

The Monahans girls varsity finished fifth out of 25 teams at the meet.

In the 2.2 mile varsity girls run Daisy Zamarripa turned in a time of 13:07, to hold on to the fifth place medallist position.

The varsity Lady Loboes Selena Balderas, Felicia Masias, Brianna Chaney, Amber Clay, Amaris Ybarra, Laura Hinojos, Alejandra Valenzuela, Kirbrina Anderson and Lauren Fuentes.

Coach Thaggard entered a JV girls team in the 2.2 mile run.  Those participating were Tina Bomber, Alexia Armendariz, Amanda Marrufo, and Kristen Littlejohn.

Josh Smith took home the 27th place medallist title with a time of 18:49 in the varsity boys 3.2 mile run.  The top 30 finishers in varsity competition are medallists.

Smith led the Lobo varsity boys to a fifth place finish out of a 25 team field.

Also competing for the Loboes were Cameron Lynch, Pablo Jimenez, Chad Harris, Aaron Forest, Justin Tester, Chance Helmers, Colt Smith, Adam Steen, and Josh Munoz.

The Cross Country team will travel to Seminole Saturday for the Indian Run.
