The freshman moved their record to 5 and 0 with a 35 to 0 win over the Pecos freshmen Thursday night in a lightening shortened game at Lobo Field.

With 5 minutes and 36 seconds left in the third quarter the game was called for bad weather.

The Lobo touchdowns came on a three yard run by Micah Ramsey, a twenty-four yard run by Blake Thompson, a forty-five yard pass form Wade Roark to Ricky Robledo, and two touchdowns passes form Roark to Kendrick Anderson. The first was an eighteen yard pass, and the second a catch and run of twenty-four yards. Wade Roark added five PAT kicks to complete the scoring.

" I really thought we came out ready to play this week. The offensive line did a great job controlling the line of scrimmage and the defense dominated Fort Stockton all night," said Coach Burnett."

We were disappointed that the game was canceled when it was because we have a bunch of kids play a great deal of football in the last quarter."

Those athletes will get another chance to play against Fort Stockton when they return in an away game on October 26.

" I'm sure they will be better when we show up down there next time."

Next week the team will travel to play Iraan's JV.

"This might be the biggest challenge we will have faced to this point in the season. Coach Gilliam, Coach Golson, and I really feel that this group of freshman has not played the best football they are capable of this year. This trip to Iraan will be a good challenge for us."

Thursday's game will begin at 6:30 pm in Iraan.
