The Lady Loboes started their basketball season with the full squad right before Thanksgiving.
The Ladies competed against Midland Classical on Monday night. The ladies were defeated 44-18.

This was the first game for the varsity Lady Loboes with very little practice time. Coach Hopkins has been waiting on the volleyball season to finish to recruit the rest of her basketball this season.
"This is the first time we have played with this group of players, and overall there were many positive things going on. We feel like we are off to a good start, with lots of ground to catch up on," Hopkins said.
Jacquelyn Hopkins' 6 points led Monahans. Madeleine Hopkins and Jordan Latham raked up 4 points each while Catherine Cutbirth and Bethany Willmon scored the remaining 4 points.
"As a team, we shot 9/45 or 20%, with time and practice, we will see an improvement on shooting accuracy," Hopkins said.
Latham led the Lady Loboes with three steals. Madeleine Hopkins, Whitney Gonzales, Brianna Chaney, Dina Ortiz and Jacquelyn Hopkins each had one steal. Jacquelyn Hopkins had nine defensive rebounds and one offensive rebound. Bethany Willmon had three offenses and defense rebound each.
