Ladies clip the Eagles

The Lady Loboes defeated the Pecos Lady Eagles 54-45 during Friday night's game.

Chelsea Cartwright started the scoring for Monahans with a 2- point shot.  Kim Madrid, Jenna Fann , Dina Ortiz and Jacquelyn Hopkins got on the board before the first buzzer for a total of 10 points.  However, the Lady Eagles put 12 points on the board to take the lead.

Ten points later, Monahans was ahead by one point to end the half.

The Lady Loboes gained momentum in the third, bringing 13 points to the board.  Pecos was able to get 9 points up.

The Ladies kept their lead in the fourth with a 18-17 run to wind the game.

Fifteen of the 18 points made by the Lady Loboes were made from the free throw line.

Jenna Fann led the Lady Loboes with 13 points, Kim Madrid scored 12 points and Jacquelyn Hopkins put up 10 points.

The Ladies next game will be on Tuesday in Greenwood, starting at 6 p.m.
