Lady Loboes move into playoffs

The Lady Loboes took the third play-off berth after Lamesa defeated Greenwood on Tuesday night.

Seminole claimed the district title with an undefeated district record.

Lamesa ended district play heading into the playoffs with a 9-3 record and Monahans with an 8-4 record.

The Lady Loboes are preparing for the playoff road with practice games.

The first of which was played on Wednesday night against the Water Valley Lady Wildcats.

Who defeated the Lady Loboes 80-54

The Lady Wildcats scored two field goals in the opening second.

Jacquelyn Hopkins started the scoring for Monahans with a 3-pointer shortly after.  However, the Lady Wildcats took the first quarter with a 10-point lead at the buzzer.

The Lady Loboes matched each Lady Wildcat's basket until the Lady Wildcats broke away with three baskets in a row, putting the score at 45-31 at halftime.

Monahans was able to add 13 points during the third, but Water Valley answered by putting 18 point to the board.

The Lady Wildcats owned the fourth quarter scoring 19 points.  The Lady Loboes managed to squeeze in 10 points to put the final score at 80-54.

The Lady Loboes will play another practice game in Seminole against Shallowater on Saturday at 5 p.m.

The Bi-District game will be against the loser of the Sweetwater-Abilene Wylie game on Friday.

Currently Sweetwater and Wylie are tied for District 4 Championship.

The Bi-District game will be on Monday time and place to be announced
