Lobo Golfers move to third in 3-3A tour

Tournament host Monahans moved into third place after two rounds of the District 3-3AAA tour Tuesday.

The Loboes carded a second round team total 677 to move ahead of Fort Stockton in district standings.  Victor Calzada paced the Loboes finishing with a 77 to bring his two rounds total to 155.  Victor has been very consistent this year,"  Coach David Burnett said.  "He has worked very hard and deserves the scores he's carding."

Joe Joe Birdwell is second for MHS with 166 followed by JW bounett 171 ZAch price Cory Petree Shelton Burnett Chad Gray Cole Corneluis Justin Ochoa and Cody Anthony.

Second round team totals from Monahans are in 1 Seminole 2 Lamesa 3 Monahans 4. Ft Stockton 5.Pecos 6. Monahans "B" 7. Greenwood 8 Lamesa "B" 9 Fort Stockton "B" 10 Seminole "B" 11. Greenwood "B"

The top five medallist are 1. Brady Shivers Seminole 2. Victor Calzada Monahans 3. Michael Nichols Pecos 4 Jordan Chapman Lamesa 5. Tie Nunnies Rodriguez Fort Stockton & Brett Nichols Seminole.

The District 3-AAA tour includes Monday in Seminole with the Loboes 11 strokes out of first place.  "We have our work cut out for us," Coach Burnett added."  We have played pretty good golf at times, with one or two individuals stepping up to the challenge and others struggle.  I really do not fell we have played our best golf to this point, but I think the guys are up for the challenge."
