The Lamesa team came back from 20 shots down to take a three-shot victory, (915) over the first two round leader Monahans (915). Fort Stockton
finished third at 945, follow by Seminole
at 1018, Monahans finished at 1044,
Fort Stockton B 6th at 1053, Pecos A 7th at 1066, Greenwood 8th 1079,
Lamesa B 9th 1143, Greenwood B 10th at 1155, and Seminole B finished 11th at
1157.
Lamesa and Monahans will represent the district in the regional tournament in Midland Monday and Tuesday, April 24th and 25th. Also qualifying for the tournament is Luke Abbot from Fort Stockton as an individual from their team.
In the Medalist competition, Victor Calzada of Monahans led all golfers with a three-round total of 5 under par 211. Second place was Joe Joe Birdwell at 219, and third place went to Michael Morales of Lamesa with a total of 225.
