The boys Golf Team finished tied for sixth place this past
weekend in the annual Fort Stockton Invitational.
Cory Petree shot the low round for the Lobo team with a two day total of 168. Shelton Burnett followed with a score of 175. Justin Ochoa and Jeremy Brown both carded scores of 177. Timmy Fuentes finished with a score of 188.
"We are all struggling a little right now. We play some really good golf for most of the rounds but just have a few holes that run their score up. The goals ahead of us are to put two, nine-hole rounds back to back. I see all of these boys playing a lot better than they are at this point. I think the season is still very young, and there are many bright spots to build on. I know for a fact the kids want to play better, and they will go to work and be ready when it counts," said coach David Burnett.
This week the J.V. team will play in Andrews on Thursday, and the Varsity team will be in Midland.
