Against Boys Golf Team in Andrews

The Monahans boy golf team competed in the Andrews golf
tournament in Andrews March 2-3. The team finished in tenth place in
a field of 24.
Friday, Justin Ochoa shot a career round leading the Loboes with a score of 73. Cory Petree came in with a 77, followed by Shelton Burnett with 88, Tyler Watson 89, and Jeremy Brown 91.
Saturday was rough on everyone as the scores all went up after an overnight turn in the weather. Petree came back with a round of 81. Ochoa shot 84 on Saturday, Brown 90, Watson 93, and Burnett 97.
"Things are looking better each week, and I think our Loboes are going to be ready for a run at the district title later in the month and in April," said Coach David Burnett of district play, with begin March 27.
The next competition for boys varsity golf is against Seminole there on Wednesday, March 7.
