Golf Place Third and Fourth in District

The Lobo golf teams were in Fort Stockton on Tuesday to participate in the first round of District 2-3A competition. Leading the district is Fort Stockton with a score of 319.  Pecos is in second place with 325.  The Monahans teams are in third and fourth places, and will have a chance to improve their standings in the remaining two rounds of district play.

The Monahans A team is in third place with a score of 336.  Cory Petree led the team with a 78, followed by Justin Ochoa with 83.  Shelton Burnett shot 91, Tyler Watson 87 and Rex Rose an 88.

In fourth place is Monahans B team with 355.  Anthony Amendariz's score was an 85, followed by Kevin Coldewey with 88, and Bo Rose with 89.  Jeremy Brown shot a 96.  Timothy Fuentes had a day-one score of 93.

Also representing Monahans are Seth Howard, Garrett King and Junior Fuentes, who shot 88, 97 and 102, respectively.

Round-Two will be held in Monahans on Tuesday, April 3.
