Round 2 of District Golf

The second round of district golf play was held in
Monahans at the Ward County Golf Course. The Monahans boys' teams remain
in third and fourth place. Fort Stockton is in first place and finished
Tuesday with 319, followed by Pecos in second with 325.
The third place Monahans A team shot 335. Corey Petree had 78, Justin Ochoa 83, Shelton Burrent shot 91, Tyler Watson 87, and Rex Rose finished the day with an 88.
Monahans B, now in fourth place, had a round score of 355. Anthony Armendariz shot 85, Bo Rose 89, Jeremy Brown 96, Timmy Fuentes 93, and Kevin Coldeway shot 88.
The Monahans boys took three of the top 10 individual spots. Petree was in a three-way tie for second place with Peter Ibarra and Ethan Ezell, both of Fort Stockton. They shared a score of 78. Ochoa finished in ninth place with 83, and Anthony Armendariz was in tenth with 85.
The third round of district golf play is in Pecos. The round is scheduled for next Thursday, April 12.
