Lady Lobo Golf Third at Austin

The Lady Lobo golf team finished third place in the  Austin Tournament at Roy Kizer Golf Course February 8-9.

The team shot a 358 on Friday and a 349 on Saturday.   Shelbye Hill led the team with an 80 and 81.  Allison Parks had a 90 and 89.  Jordan Jernigan had a 94 and 89.  Victoria Moore shot a 94 and a 90.  Brittany West had a 101 and 89.

"This was the first time these girls had seen this course, so I was very proud of the way they handled that," said Coach Becky Hix.

According to Hix, only two other schools at the tournament, San Angelo Central and Frenship, were not 3A schools.

Team totals were: 1.Andrews, 645;  2.San Angelo Central, 683;   3.Monahans, 707;  4.Snyder, 718;  5.China Spring, 728;  6.Frenship, 803.  Longview Springhill, 809 and 11.  Sealy, 853.
