JV Places Two Teams In Top Three

The JV Lady Loboes played in the Pecos Golf Tournament on Tuesday, Feb. 26. Monahans entered two teams to take second and third place.
The team of Quen Carter, Erin Fisher, Amy Rose and Ashton Haynes took second place with a 388. Carter shot an 89, Fisher an 95, Rose shot a 100, and Ashton Haynes shot a 104.
Ciara McWilliams, Rachel Santiago, Nichole Roeber, and Andrea Ybarra comprised the third place team, shooting a team score of 390. McWilliams shot an 89, Santiago shot an 89, Roeber shot a 102, and Ybarra shot a 110.
Ciara McWilliams, Rachel Santiago, and Quen Carter tied for first place in the individual standings, resulting in a playoff that placed McWilliams, Santiago and Carter took first, second, and third places, respectively.
"All eight of these girls played very well, and I am proud of their improvement each week," said Coach Becky Hix.
