Four lifters bring home medals

Four Monahans powerlifters brought home medals from the Odessa Bronco Meet held on Saturday.
Kelton Mitchell claimed first place with a
total of 565 pounds in the 114-weight division. Michael Murphree claimed the
bronze with a total of 1285 pounds in the super heavy weight division.
In the girls division, Kyla Fuentes claimed second with a total 450 pounds in the 165-weight division. In the super heavy weight division, Tiffany Rodriguez lifted 490 pounds, earning third place.
Other lifters were Noel Ice picking up 670 pounds, and Flavio Armendariz lifting a total of 270 pounds in the 132 division.
In the 148 division, Russel Covington picked up 750 lbs. Anthony Santiago lifted a total of 950 pounds in the 198-weight division. In the 220-weight division, Josh Truex picked up 925 pounds.
In the girls 148 division, Heather Schuler lifted a total of 440 pounds.
The Lobo lifters will travel to Big Lake on Feb. 12 for their next meet.
Then they will compete in the Kermit Meet on Feb. 26. The Regional meet has been set for March 12 in Lubbock.
