Shayne Lynch is MHS' new resource English and math teacher.  He, his wife, Leeca, and their sons, Cameron and Cyle moved here from Stephenville.

Lynch was born in Gatesville, Texas on August 11, 1968 and attended Gatesville High School, where he participated in football, basketball, track, cross-country and The Future Farmers of America.

Lynch's funniest memory of GHS involves a crown, a prom, and some confused parents.

"I came home from the Junior Prom wearing a crown," Lynch said.  "My parents thought it was a lampshade."

Although he met his wife in college while working at McDonald's, Lynch says that Mexican Food is his favorite cuisine..

He says he chose this job because he enjoys being around kids.  He says his biggest pet peeve is when students are talking during class.

Lynch also says that the worst thing that has happened to him while teaching was when a student bit him during class.

Some of Mr. Lunch's favorites include the movie Top Gun, Mexican food, and Christian music.  In his free time he like to take his children to all their activities and ride horses.

When asked  about his style of teaching "hands on."  His goal here at MHS is to make the students realize their full of potential.
