According to the Texas
Girls Coaches' poll that came out on Wednesday, the Lady Loboes are currently
ranked sixth in the state for 3A.
The Ladies scrimmaged against the Lady Cranes on Monday afternoon.
Varsity played the first three innings, and JV played the last two innings.
"Heather Schuler pitched great and was hitting a lot of her junk pitches. Lupe Navarette it a double off the top of their green monster fence, and Raquel followed with a homerun that cleared to 10-foot fence by about three feet," Coach Kasey Kinney said.
Kaitlin Mitchell pitched for the JV team.
"She (Mitchell) will improve with each opportunity she gets to pitch. Kyla Fuentes ended the scrimmage with a well caught line drive to first," Kinney said.
"During the scrimmage, we got to work on bunting and dragging, so it allowed us to practice more than anything," Kinney said.
The Lady Loboes will have another scrimmage on Saturday against Odessa High and Permian the time is to be announced.
The Ladies will have their first game on Tuesday, Feb. 15, against Midland High starting at 4 p.m. in Midland.
