The Lady Loboes softball team scrimmage in Odessa against three teams on Saturday.
The Ladies won against Permian in five innings
with a score of 7-0.
"We started off strong against Permian and were able to put the ball in play enough to create errors among Permian," Coach Kasey Kinney said.
The Ladies dropped the next five innings.
"In the Odessa High game we made some errors that cost us some runs early on. We also had some communication problems," said Kinney.
The Lady Loboes turned things around in the scrimmage against Alpine, they put seven runs on the board in five innings and kept Alpine from scoring any runs.
"In the Alpine game, we started off slow in our hitting. We are still trying to work out some bugs as far as pick-off plays and situations with runners," Kinney said.
The Lady Loboes will play again on Friday, Feb. 18 in Frenship. The time will be announced.
"Now that basketball is over we will get the rest of our players, so we should be able to start fine tuning our play a little bit and my batting line-up can finally be set," Kinney said.
