Lady Loboes Finish District Undefeated

The Monahans softball team completed a perfect District 3-3A season on Saturday with a 10-2 victory over Lamesa.

Monahans (24-5, 12-0 in district) had 17 hits, led by Lana Santiago, who was 4-for-4.

Dina Ortiz was 3-for-3 with a home run three RBI's, and Kellie Almanza was 3-for-4 with a double and a triple.

Heather Schuler got the win on the mound as she improved to 22-2 on the season, and went 2 for 2 at the plate.

The Lady Loboes will next play Eula in a warm-up game Friday.

Monahans awaits the winner of the Perryton-Lubbock Cooper series that begins Friday at Canyon Randall High School.
