Lady Loboes Sweep

MIDLAND   The Monahans Lady Loboes made quick work of Lubbock Cooper, sweeping the Class 3A area playoff series 13 - 3 and 9 - 0 on Friday evening.

Heather Schuler earned the victory in both games for Monahans (26 - 5), which advances to face Abilene Wylie on May 12 in Big Spring in the Region I quarterfinals.

In the first game, Lubbock Cooper scored three runs in the top of the first, but Monahans tied the game in the bottom of the inning.  The Lady Loboes then scored six runs in the fourth to break the game open, pounding out five doubles and one triple.
