Lady Loboes Shutout Blue Devil 26-0

Monahans served up a landslide victory to Presidio on Friday night.  Friday was the season's first game between the district 2-3A teams.

Before Presidio could get and out on the Lady Loboes, Monahans scored seven runs.  By the end of the first inning, Monahans had scored 11 times.

"We went completely through our lineup before they got the first out," said Coach David Parker.

In the second inning, Monahans brought in another eight runs, followed by four in third and three in the fourth.

Winning pitcher Kaitlin Mitchell hit a double and a triple for Monahans.

Catcher Dina Ortiz hit a double and a homerun.

The game ended as a fifth-inning 26-0 shutout, giving Monahans a 15-0 overall and 2-0 district record.

The Ladies will play their first away district game against Fort Stockton on Tuesday at 5 pm.
