Monahans Swimmers Make Splash In Seminole

The Monahans swim team recently competed in the Seminole Invitational Swim Meet. 

In the girls' 200-meter relay, the team of Crissy Wallace, Estefana Galindo, Aimee McBride and Lyndsay Chowning placed tenth with a time of 2:56.34.

In the boys' 200-meter relay, Monahans placed sixth in 2:17.79.  Justin Dominguez, Brandon Spinks, Carlos Cueto and Jacob Robbins teamed up for the event.

In the girls' 200-meter freestyle, Aimee McBridge placed eighth.  She had a time of 2:43.07.

Steven Cole placed 13th in the boys' 200-meter freestyle.  His time was 2:54.13.

In the 200-meter individual relay, Brandon Spinks placed fifth in a time of 2:49.36.

Justin Dominguez finished seventh with a time of 2:55.82.

In eleventh place was Brandon McGuire.  He had a finishing time of 3:05.98.

In the girls' 50-meter freestyle, Taylor Garcia placed 16th with a time of 34.96, while Morgan Haynes finished in 38.66 for 29th place.

In the boys' 50-meter freestyle, Cyle Lynch placed 10th with a time of 28.92.

Jacob Robbins was right behind in 28.99 and 11th place.

Carlos Cueto finished the 50-free in 20th place and 31.65 seconds.

Cody Smith finished in 39.61 and 40th place.

Estefana Galindo ended in 13th place in the 100-meter butterfly.  She finished the race in a time of 1:51.20.

Brandon Spinks brought home the silver in the 100-meter butterfly.  His finishing time was 1:10.98, while teammate Brandon McGuire finished in 1:29.71 and eighth place.

In the girls' 100-meter butterfly, Aimee McBride placed ninth with a time of 1:15.55.

Taylor Garcia placed 18th with a time of 1:19.48.

Not far behind was Lyndsay Chowning, who finished the race with a time of 1:23.44 and 21st place.

Crissy Wallace came in 23rd in 1:26.73, while Morgan Haynes was 26th in 1:28.23.

In the boys' 400-Meter freestyle, Steven Cole placed eleventh for Monahans in a time of 6:13.70.

The team of Morgan Haynes, Crissy Wallace, Estefana Galindo and Taylor Garcia placed tenth in the 200-meter freestyle relay.  Their total time was 2:32.46.

In the boys' 200-meter freestyle relay, Monahans placed fifth in a time of 1:58.67.  The team was Cyle Lynch, Carlos Cueto, Jacob Robbins and Brandon Spinks.

Lyndsay Chowning placed ninth in the 100-meter backstroke with a time of 1:30.79.

In fifteenth place was Crissy Wallace with a time of 1:43.72.

Cyle Lynch placed sixth in the 100-meter backstroke.  His final time was 1:17.49.

Justin Dominguez finished in 1.20.40 and eighth place, while Jacob Robbins placed tenth in 1:24.51.

In the girls' 100-meter breaststroke, Estefana Galindo finished 18th in 1:48.44.

In the boys' 100-meter breaststroke, Carlos Cueto placed 14th in 1:37.84.

The girls' 400-meter freestyle relay team of Crissy Wallace, Aimee McBride, Lyndsay Chowning and Taylor Garcia placed sixth in 5:23.90.

The boys' team of Brandon McGuire, Steven Cole, Cyle Lynch and Justin Dominguez placed seventh in the 400-meter freestyle relay with a time of 4:53.25.

On January 5, the team will continue its season at the Fort Stockton Invitational meet.

The action begins at 11 am at Fort Stockton High School.
