Lobo tennis players to compete at Regionals

The Lobo Tennis team will travel to Lubbock to compete in the Team Regionals this weekend.

There will be 12 teams competing.

Monahans players making the trip are John Wilhem, Steven Martinez, Chris Garcia, Jacob Kesey, Kyle Bean, Ryan Day, Andrew Orona, Laura Ramirez, Trina Escamilla, Tiffany Bean, Dina Ortiz, Cheyenne Smith, Jennifer Rodriguez, Emily Acher and Erin Coldewey.

It was uncertain at press time whether they will play at Levelland High School or South Plains College.

Play begins at 9 a.m.  They will break for lunch at noon and resume play at 2 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday.

"If we get seated, we will be in top eight," Coach Josie McAnally said.
