MHS Netters Qualify for Regionals in Odessa

The Monahans tennis team will send two doubles teams on to class 3A Competition in Odessa April 26-27.  Emily Acker and  Laura Ramirez won first place in the District 3-3A championship in Odessa April 26-27.

Emily Acker and Laura Ramirez won first place in the girls doubles division at the District 3-3A championships held in Monahans last week.

Acker and Ramirez will move into a very tough girls doubles Regional round as the number one team out of District 3-3A.

Cheyenne Smith and Madison Murray finished third in the girls doubles division at District, and will serve as Regional alternates.

The MHS mixed doubles team of Tiffany Bean and John Wilhelm finished in second place at the District championship tournament, and will also advance to the Regional round.

MHS coach Josie McAnally has to be pleased with the play of her boys team at District as well.

The Monahans boys doubles team of Ryan Day and Michael Derrick finished in fourth place at District, and Chris Garcia claimed a fourth place finish in boys singles for Coach McAnally.
