Coach Josie McAnally's tennis team dominated
the courts this past Tuesday against Pecos with a 15-4 win.
Coach McAnally has credited a disciplined off-season and yearlong training as contributing factors to the success of the Lobo tennis program. McAnally works with players in breaking down court time and taking control of periods in order to rule the court. She encourages the players to let the skills they have acquired in practice take over during a match. "Keeping you cool, constantly moving you feet and patiently executing your pattern, will given a player the opportunity to gain the point," said McAnally. She reminded players that it is crucial to protect their weaknesses during a match as well as taking a mental note of their opponents' weaknesses. This theory proved successful as Varsity Lobo Tennis wrapped up the fall season.
