Boys win first, girls come in second at West Texas Relays

The Lobo Boys track team took home first place for third year in a row from the West Texas Relays in Odessa this weekend.  The girls claimed second place behind Canyon.

A couple of Lobo trackers broke relay records.

The boys' 800-meter relay broke the previous record with their time of 1:31.63.  The members of the relay team were seniors Richard Covington and Tyqually Fletcher and sophomores Chris Bates and Josh Rodriguez.

Covington claimed first in the triple jump, long jump and the 100-meter.

Jenna Fann set a new West Texas Relay record with a vault of 11 feet.

Monahans will host the Sandhills Relays this weekend starting Friday.
