Loboes Take Third in San Angelo

The Monahans boys' varsity team placed third at the San Angelo Relays this weekend.  The meet gave the Loboes an opportunity to compete with teams outside of the immediate area.

Jared Till won the high jump with height of 6-02.  Arnold Rodriguez jumped 5-08 in the event for fourth place.

Rodriguez placed first in the long jump with a distance of 21-08.75.  Teammate Devon Fann placed third with 20-09.75 for fourth place.

Russell Covington placed fourth in the triple jump with 41-10.75.

Micheal Murphree put the shot 52-06 for second place behind Hayden Baillio of Whitesboro.  He also placed second in the discus with a throw of 146-06.25 behind Baillio.

Christ Bates placed fifth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.74.

Devon Fann placed sixth in the 200-meter in 23.66.

Brian Azuaje placed fifth in the 3200-meter with a time of 11:10.58.

In the 110-meter hurdles, Quincy Titus place fifth in 18.04, while teammate Flavio Armendariz placed sixth in 18.24.

Flavio Armendariz placed third in the 300-meter hurdles while Aaron Armendariz placed sixth.  Their time were 42.70 and 44.73.

The Monahans relay teams placed second in the 400 and 800-meter relays.  Their times were 43.36 and 1:30:50.  In the 1600-meter relay, Monahans placed fourth in 3:37.36.

Thursday, April 5, the boys will compete in Crane at the Golden Crane Relays.
