Loboes Place Third at San Angelo

Lobo track brought home a load of medals after Saturday's San Angelo Relays.
As a team, the boys totaled 118 points and finished third behind Abilene Wylie
and Perryton.

The Loboes have a week to prepare for next Monday's District Meet in Fort Stockton. Both the JV and Varsity teams will compete. The top finishers in the district will go on to the regional meet at Ratliff Stadium in Odessa.
Medal Highlights
Tony Dipasquale and Tanner Owens won silver and bronze, respectively, in the
triple jump.
Shaquille Smith placed second in the shot put, good for silver, with a throw of
42-6.25.
Calvin Franks placed second in the high jump with a height of 5-10.
Wade Roark, Sean Britton and Oscar Ruiz took silver in the respective events:
the 110-hurdles, the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash.
The Monahans relay teams placed second in the sprint relay (4x100) and the 1600 (4x400). The only Lobo gold was won in the 800-meter relay , where the team repeated a first-place finish from the West Texas Relays.
