Council declares 'Monahans Lady Loboes Day'

During the Monahans City Council meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 23, Mayor David Cutbirth read a proclamation calling for Saturday, Nov. 20 to be declared 'Monahans Lady Loboes Day' due to the fact that the Monahans High School volleyball tem won the state championship for the ninth time in the history of the school on that day. The proclamation stated that the girls had conducted themselves as champions and the coaches and players were excellent ambassadors for the city of Monahans.
The council voted unanimously to accept the proclamation.
Mayor Cutbirth read the proclamation to the girls and coaches at noon on that day and presented them wit the document to be placed in an area of their choice.
