OHS Volleyball at Monahans

Odessa High School's volleyball team will take a break from District 3-5A action today, though the intensity level won't get any lower.

The Lady Bronchos (22-6) play at 2 p.m. today at Class 3A power Monahans (22-9) in the Jerry Larned Sports Complex.

Monahans has played a brutal nondistrict schedule, including back-to-back dates against solid Class 5A program Lubbock Coronado.  Monahans fell in four games to Coronado at home Tuesday.

OHS has won three consecutive district matches, including a four-game victory against Midland High on Tuesday that was its first in the series since 1995.

Dorrian McKnight (15), Kristen Beck (13) and Kylie Cowan (13) all were in double figures in kills while Regan Paquette and Beck both had 1.5 blocks each.
