The Creative Education Institute (C.E.I.) program is a computerized learning system that addresses reading, writing, vocabulary and comprehension through a multi-sensory learning approach. Positive reinforcement is a built-in component that boosts the student's self-esteem and leads to successful completion of activities.
Benefits of the program:
Provides sensory integration training
activities that exercise the visual, auditory and motor
centers of the brain.
This builds memory and paths for
processing.
Builds reading fluency, helps eye-tracking,
and aids in recall of word patterns.
Builds vocabulary, which in turn builds
comprehension.
Uses closure to help build vocabulary.
Clues provide an opportunity to see and hear a word in
a context sentence.
Develops dictation skills.
Checking work gives a student practice
distinguishing between correct and incorrect
patterns of spelling, punctuation
and grammar.
Enhances hand-eye coordination and listening
skills.
Builds recall endurance and develops fluency
using computerized "flash cards".
Checks and encourages vocabulary
development.
Checks that word patterns are staying in
long term memory.
