District UIL Meet was in Fort Stockton on February 16, 2008

Awards assembly at 6:00 on March 11

Walker Junior High School students participated in University Interscholastic League competition held in Fort Stockton on February 16, 2008. 

Out of a combined 28 contests, students at LWJH took the 1^st place medal in 17 contests, 2^nd place in 16 contests, and 3^rd place in 17 events. 

Through the combined efforts of all of the 63 students who participated, LWJH earned 805 points at the competition.

LWJH's score of 805 was added to the 413 points earned by Sudderth Elementary in the 6th grade competition for a district total of 1218 points.  Monahans WPISD won the meet with the combined total of 1218 points.  The second place district was Pecos with 554 points. 

Way to go Monahans!
