School Health Advisory Council (SHAC)

Our Mission

The School Health Advisory Council’s (SHAC) purpose is to review the health and wellness curriculum and practices of the district.  The Council is comprised of community stakeholders including students, parents, faculty, staff, administration, and residents.  The council meets at least four times each academic school year and may offer recommendations to the district as to how the district’s health and wellness policies and practices could be modified or enhanced to better meet the needs of the school community.  Individuals who have an interest in serving on the School Health Advisory Council should contact  Assistant Superintendent, Doug Douge at 432-943-6711 for more information
